Tractor Sizing Kioti CK3510 CK4010 difference in HP - why?

How satisfied are you that you got the right size tractor for your needs. My wife and I bought an 11 acre lot last year and were wondering what you thought about THAT size tractor for lot maintenance and some small-scale farming? We have three boys 15 - 25 to help with the chores and upkeep.

Is this service manual supposed to be included in the sale of a new Kioti ?? Our 4010 will likely be delivered tomorrow and all I brought home was 2 owners manuals one for the tractor and 1 for the FEL and a few pounds of pins..

The service manuals cost extra. Kioti did a very nice job with thé DK service manual. I'd imagine the new NX and CK manuals are good too. Not sure what they charge now but my DKse manual was about $80. Worth the price. Real English, well illustrated and organized

Thanks for the reply, on the want list behind some implements..
From what I'm told difference in HP is with fuel injector sizing and sometimes injector pump size.. The dealer laughed when I brought up software and said if that was the case he'll or small and reprogram more HP..

Jeff,
I own over 40 acres but lease out 25. I bought a 4010 but if I had it to over again I would buy a 55 or 60 Hp model

The HP difference in a CRDI system has nothing to do with the pump or injector size. The pump only pressurizes the fuel in the rail. The injectors are electronically pulsed by the ECM. The software in the ECM will determine how much fuel to deliver. More fuel, more power.
It is more cost effective to make all the parts the same and control the output with software.
Look at all the power up devices that are made for diesel trucks. The turbo boost and fuel are all controlled by electronics.
Unless you are talking to an industry trained service technician, the person that you talked to at the dealership doesn't know. They might be thinking old school.

Agree. Easy to check if someone can look up part numbers for the pump and injectors on the different hp versions. My bet is that they are the same.

Knowing what little I do, I'd bet you are correct, software for diesel truck performance has been around a while.. Thanks for the clarification and reminder..

I could be wrong but I thought that I read somewhere on here that the motors are the same but chipped differently? So maybe you could do that to your tractor for adding hp .

I work on diesel trucks at a domestic car dealership. If we work on a truck with warranty engine issues, the first step is to verify ECM calibrations. If the calibrations have been rewritten, the warranty is voided. Every time a reflash is done, the number counter goes up, even if it is put back to the original calibration.
