Steve,
No matter what anyone thinks, I am here to learn and to try to help others. If you think of anything else let me know.

Donny,
The metal is only about an eighth of an inch thick. The bolts are somewhere around an 8 or 10 mm, so I don't think they are for structural purposes, just to hold the cover in my opinion. With this thickness you only have maybe two threads in the metal. In order for a bolt to carry its strength, (someone with more brains than me can jump in here) it has to be threaded into something at least it's own diameter into a thread in order to carry its breaking strength. Maybe I didn't describe that well, but for instance if you have an 8mm diameter bolt, it has to be in a threaded hole of at least 8mm of metal to meet its breaking strength. So, I have an 8mm bolt threaded into about 3 to 4mm of metal, so I assume the bolts are there to hold the cover and not for strengthening the crossmember. This is my opinion only.

Same here Jerry, any info is good info, positive or negative. There's not a day goes by that you don't learn something.

I was hesitant to post this, because we all know that it does not prove anything, but here is my 5030 with 378 hours on it doing the same thing. Don't read into this more than what there topically is.

Oh yeah, Highbeam, what grade is my log pulling chain? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I can't tell a whole lot with 2d pictures, but Dargo's looks nice and level.
Tomorrow I will try this experiment, but I suspect I won't have the same results as Dargo.

I believe the proof is in the picture. That loader is not twisting at all. Got me wondering now. I will try mine tomorrow. Very interesting. Thanks for the picture.

I wonder if a smaller loader like the CK25 of another manufacture would twist like the CK25? It is hard to make a comparision between a larger tractor and loader and the CK25.

Dargo,
Get that tractor off those jack stands /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Dargo:

Tomorow, I'm going to try that with the M9 and a 6" block. That is if we have a barn left after tonight. Those are sure little wheels on that 5030 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'll do the picture straight on like the Kioti. I'm really curious as my tractor weighs almost 7500 pounds complete.

Last weekend I was prying stumps with a corner of the bucket but you can't really tell anything from inside the cab.

The crossmember on the 1251 loader is round like the 853 you have only bigger in diameter.

No, it was actually sagging a couple of inches. Sorry for the crappy picture, but it is from my phone.

I did have a Case 580E backhoe that was really great to grade my driveway with. It would flex a couple of feet from side to side. It may sound odd, but when back-dragging a driveway, a little flex seems to do a better job.

Insp507, naw, I didn't use jackstands, I used that new high test fishing line. If you look close, you can see it on the "unsupported" side. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That in particular (weight on the front end) as well as designed flex, and lots of other issues is why I don't honestly think this "test" proves anything.

But, hey, thanks for commenting about my little wheels. At least my wife likes them. Well, er, at least she says she does... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
