Been reading the discussion boards and have a couple of questions. First, I currently own a Massey 1250 33hp with 1246FEL and 1475 BH. I am considering stepping up to the DK 45S for a larger and more HP machine. I would be looking at the K1470 loader and the KB2385 BH. Can any give e some idea what a good deal on this set up might be?

Thanks for the help and any opinions or recommendations would be greatly appreaciated.

I would want to go with the KL451 loader (self leveling, QA skid steer bucket, and includes a tall grill guard).

I'm going with the flow on the KL451. Just better suited to the tractor in my opinion.

I would say you'll be in the $25-$27K range with TL&B.

Please take into account that I am not a dealer, and prices have increased over the last couple of years, so I may be off, but I don't think it's by a lot.

The KL 451 is matched up well on the DK45s. I love mine. I have no problem saying great machine great loader.

Thanks. Does anyone run the KB2385. How easy is it to take on and off. The Massey 1475 takes me abut 1/2 hour and sometimes is a real pain in the ***.

Thanks for the input on price if anyone has any more information on what a good deal would be I would appreciate the feedback.

Massey 1250- I would suggest a Rhino 85 BH, we have put alot of them off the rear of DK45's and they work great. They also have a 2 year warranty vs. Kioti 1 year on the BH. by the way where you located?

MF1250,
I sent you a PM about what to do, to put your backhoe on in 5 minutes.

The 1470S loader does have a few advantages if you REALLY wanted to go that way. Less cost, NOT self-leveling (if you don't want it), faster cycle times. On the other hand, the 451 lifts 700 more Pounds to full height and has 1100 pounds more break out.

I would get on the Kioti web site and get the names and phone numbers of every dealer within a 150 mile radius of you. I would then start calling, usually it's pretty easy to get a feel for someone who really wants to sell you a tractor and will stand behind what they sell. Most of the dealers that I talked to were polite and seemed sincere but there sure was a big variety of prices. My local dealer was selling the 40 for what most other dealers were selling the 45 for, go figure!!

OLEOZZ, I did exactly that. I was not confortable with the price or service facilities from the closest dealer. The problem is where you would go for service and warranty issues. you would be traveling. any further thoughts. Thanks and still looking.

Me too! Mine is in central/western Arkansas and earning GE interest monthly /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I am going to go to my local dealer. Kioti makes the claim that any dealer will do warranty or service work and why shouldn't they? I have read several times on here that Kioti does not pay the dealers well for warranty work and if that's the case it's a darn shame. If your local dealer does not have functional and capable service facilities then they shouldn't be selling any tractors.

Its a Kioti........I doubt you will need any work done. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Maybe some filters or fluid. I don't believe any manufacture pays the dealers alot for warranty work. A good dealer will take care of you under warranty in hopes of trying to build a relationship with you for future business. Word of mouth is very powerful advertisement. Now with the internet it does not take long to find out who is a good dealer and who is not. A good dealer is important when making a decision about buying a tractor. Just as important as price, reliability and a proven track record.

Donny, I'm glad you said that, it doesnt carry as much weight coming from a dealer! We are a very low volume Kioti dealer, but I cant remember doing more than 3 or 4 warranty jobs the last 3 years, the biggest was on a tractor sold by another dealer. no problem, Kioti made it fair and customer paid for a 100 hour maintnenace at the same time.

I think dealers who treat "bought elsewhere" customers like lepers are being short sighted. Just the word of mouth referrals from a satisfied customer is worth more than any shortcoming in warranty reimbursement. What it takes today to satisfy a customer is recieveing more than they expect...and some expect a lot!

I think bluechips post gives a lot of insight into the dealers position without a lot of fancy rhetoric. Sometimes we forget what the dealer has to go through to please some people.
You have to be well versed in the art of handling people to be successful in about anything in todays world.
