King Kutter Mower spindle bearings

I have a KK FM-60. I’m in the process of rebuilding my spindles. My original spindles have a wave spring washer on each bearing, but one is broken. I’m assuming it was over tightened, which probably led to it failing.
All of the bearing

kits I see don’t come with the wave spring washer.
I’m looking for opinions on whether they are needed or not.

Also, anyone know what torque specs are for spindles?

I never thought about that. I guess they kinda help with some end play. But I don’t really know if it would hurt to omit that. Someone on here will know for sure
