King Kutter mandrel bearing replacement

I purchased a king Kutter (tractor supply "County line branded") and have had this PTO attachment for a few years. Facing the back of the mower deck, the right side mandrel bearings are shot and the mandrel is in need of repair. Is it better to just remove the mandrel and replace the bearings top and bottom or replace the mandrel completely? I have dealt with wheel hub bearing replacement before though I am unsure if the mandrel can withstand the driving out of the old bearings and pressing in the replacements? Bearings are cheaper to replace but, not convinced the mandrel will last for several more years. Penny-wise...pound foolish. Anyone know if this is a good fix or just temporary bush fix
