Killing brush and weeds the easy way !!

We have a 30 gal sprayer. The tank is too small! Pretty much I think it would be too small at 50 gal too. I have to mix up 3-4 tanks to do the yard and 5-6 to do the fields close to the house. (foot plots). PITA.

Maybe you have a smaller area to do? If not, the tank will shrink from great to tiny in no time!

I use the 16 gal Northern Tool boomless broadcast/spot sprayer.

By the way - It is on sale right now if you are in the market:
Item# 268110 Was $170 - on sale for $140

I strap it to the back on wifey's 4 wheeler for permethrin (tick killer) and glyphosate.

I added some quick connects to the power cable from Radio Shack (like these: 2-Position Male Interlocking Connector - RadioShack.com)
Just pull the sprayer off and unplug the power cable.
Works well.

I'll likely convert it to a pull behind this summer as she starts riding the 4 wheeler more. Right now, I just leave the sprayer strapped to the rear rack.

It def. saves a lot of time over pump sprayers.
I wish I had gotten the larger (25 gal i think) one but I was afraid it would add too much weight to the wheeler on hills.

So far, so good tho.

Have any of you ever sprayed Remedy along the fencelines? It is the RoundUp opposite for killing off trees yet leaving the grass unharmed. I use it on small poplars and willows, works great. The leaves just shrivel up and the tree dies off.

The active ingredient in Remedy is triclopyr. I have used Crossbow, which contains 2-4,d and triclopyr (at a lower concentration than Remedy). Crossbow is pricey -- I think I paid $160+ for the last 2.5 gallon jug i bought. I have been thinking about switching to Garlon, a herbicide with a higher triclopyr concentration that Crossbow. So, what are you paying for Remedy?

I bought a 15 gallon spray electric spray rig from Harbor Freight for $99.00 and a Chicago Electric jump start power pack from HF for $39 with a coupon and today the Mrs. and I put both in the pack of our pick up filled with weed, grass and brush killer and drove the farm...along fence lines , around trees, along the edges of the road and wherever we saw that invasive privet.....

Now that was great ....it took about 2 hrs. for what used to be a 2 day job with our little pump up sprayers..If you have much land at all..this would be worth you looking into...:)

Ah, the 'ole Eco-Assault Vehicle trick... One of my personal favorites. Load it up with Tri-Ox next time :).
