The snow at camp Covington. There is more here than in town.
Less steering, hmm... that sounds like a struggle on single track mtb trails where tight turns are the norm. Here is our buddy using another version of the snowdog near here (His is Russian made) Problem is when you get much snow, its like steering a log, like to run at a angle (tipping over) and wear the operator our asap. They seem to be better in lower snow area's and where there is less steering to do.![]()
You have to groom lots less snow than 12-18"(which ever comes first) in order to stay ahead of that..Less steering, hmm... that sounds like a struggle on single track mtb trails where tight turns are the norm.
If you groom the initial 2-3 feet of the season and then every 7-10 days or 12-18"(which ever comes first) is the trail compacted enough after one pass to ride a fat bike on?
I just cleaned up and it was about 13-14".
Maybe we can get some snow so my wife can try out her new shovel!A satellite photo taken during the last snow event.

A massive bomb cyclone is rapidly intensifying over the Great Lakes and Michigan, growing so large and powerful that its sprawling cloud bands were visible from the International Space Station. The storm is deepening at an alarming rate, tightening its core and unleashing ferocious bands of snow and wind — a textbook signature of a high-impact mid-latitude cyclone.
