You got a lot out of your solenoid then, because I had problems with mine right away until I fixed it. It's been great since then. I did have some other electrical issues and I think all that was contributing. I worked without the dash working for several months before my friend Larry came over to help me fix the starting problem and the rest of the electrical circuit by changing out the stock fuse panel with an automotive type. I've got way over 500 hours (off the clock) and 480 on the clock now.

If you used your tractor for 450 hrs before you had this problem and fixed it by cleaning the solenoid and replacing the starter brushes, I would think that you may get another 450 hrs of use. Sometimes a little low grade maintenance will preclude expensive replacement.lakespirit said:
