Hello every one My name is Timber (AKA) Charlie
I have been planing on buying my tractor for a year now just waiting for my ducks to line up in a row. I have been studining this group for about 3 weeks now reading everything I can and thank you all for such great information. I just cut a check for my 7800 just about an hour ago. I will take delivery some time next week. I have a small 6 acer horse farm hear in south east Masschusetts and I'm coming out of the tractor closet today LOL. It will be my pleasure to join your group and share the fun with my new toy

I have learned a great deal from reading this news group. I wanted a Backhoe and at some point will probably get 1 but I was more interested in getting the correct tractor 1st. I have a lawn tractor to do all my grass cutting so I don't need it for that but I have 2 small creeks that need cleaning of dead fall and all my trails are over grown. I have a lot of compost to turn as well as putting in a dirt road to the back of my barn. I bought this place last august and I am sticking to my plan. Tractor before horses of which I only want 2 head anyway. Its funny how you can never escape your upbringing. Life truly is on the wheel

Welcome-
I have had my B7800 for about a year now. I have about 130 hours on it. I use it for cutting my yard - about 4 acres, fields, and moving stuff with the FEL. I love it & have no regrets about the purchase. Good luck! It is a great machine!

Thank you,
I have not herd anything bad about it at all. The only thing that disappointed me was I couldn't get a quick attach for the loader. It starts with the next size up on the 403. they make one for the 402 but is very different. it won't take the skid steer attachments. I went with the tooth bar and the clamp on forks. I kins of wanted the bucket out of the way for the palette forks but I can live with it. Just have to be careful around the pickup. I also got a post hole digger. I have a lot of fence to put up

I got my B7800 about a year ago. It runs the post hole digger with no problem, but I do have sandy soil here. I've used the front end loader for cleaning stalls, does a great job of loading the manure spreader. This tractor is small and nimble with good power. You need a weight in the back to keep tires on the ground when picking up something heavy, I use my brush hog for ballast. I pulled some old fence posts and bent the loader bucket, took a little work to get it straight, then I welded a piece of c-channel on the top edge, welded on the hook and tried agin. Pulled the fence posts with no problem. Make sure you get your rear tires filled, it really helps the traction. Hope you like yours as much as I do mine. Good luck with it. J48

I already have a 35 gallon and a 55 gallon drum all ready to make my ballast boxes with. I wanted 2 different weights depending on what I was doing. I will hard face the bucket anyway when I add my hooks to it. I have so many plans LOL. I also ordered a tooth bar for clearing a road into the back of my barn. This place is pretty overgrown. There hasn't been horses hear in about 5 or 6 years. This tractor will go right into my box stalls. It is a perfect size.

J48J48, I wish you could post a picture of how you reinforced your bucket. I might consider doing the same to mine. I purchased my 7800 last August and enjoy it alot. It is a good worker.

I will post pictures as I do it LOL the Tractor is going to be delivered Saturday. I have a friend that hard faces heavy equipment so I have learned a great deal from him on the subject. Basically it is welding flat stock to the sides and back of the bucket. For my purpose on this tractor I will hard face the sides of the Fell and I am going to weld a piece of 1 1/2 or 2 inch pipe along the bottom of the top lip of the Fell just inside the bucket. This will strengthen the top of the Fell and set a base for chain hooks and a possible grappler, I’m still undecided about that. I have a lot of projects to do to my tractor as well as with it. One of the other 1st projects will be Skid plates. When I was younger I was into off road buggies so I understand the value of removable skid plates. I am very much into pictures and sharing my ideas so people can adapt them to there own needs. I certainly do the same thing with other peoples ideas.
