All the 490 needed to stop fines from getting by. So all the 501 is getting too. 272 o-ring fix Corey found to work on his 4910 way back.

Psi check. Good like it felt.

Like standard cover 501 over the spring assist on 490.
But understand why some folks need those.

Love the feel of the rubber grip metal handle over the plastic handle big time.

Just so you guys know thats on a budget and want a light 25cc clone of echo 2511.
Their out since last year and in states now. 149-159 gets you one it seems.

Weigh 2 ounces more then oem, so like 5lbs 6oz I think PHO dry. Have 2 bar studs instead of one. Carb venturi measures smaller. Few folks in my chainsaw repair group tearing into them to see. Also the 1/4" mini chain bar set ups with drum can be had for 50 more for them.

Just thought some might find it interesting too.

Pic in middle of one getting checked out by a guy that ports them.

Yeah but then you're just supporting China and their corporate theft...

The Echo brand of hand-held petrol powered tools including chainsaws, brushcutters, hedge trimmers and leaf blowers are manufactured in Yokosuka and Morioka, with other major plants in Shenzhen, China and Lake Zurich, Illinois.

All OEM are in China and invested millions into their country for 15 plus years now. How do you think all this stuff is coming out of there.

Stihl Husky Makita Echo etc etc etc. STIHL in China: Production sites in Qingdao, Huizhou and Hong Kong | STIHL

So dont buy it. Your choice. It's that simple.
But 90% of the stuff you buy everyday is from there. ;)
What I am saying is that when they clone these saws, they are stealing the designs and then producing them. Would YOU want to spend YOUR hard earned money and time designing something that you hoped to profit from, and then have your neighbor steal all that work from you and start profiting from it?

But you are right, it is my choice not to buy it or support it. And I won't.

Was dealing with roof repair for 2 days. So today I can get back into the saws.
Got the deflector on echo 501 to where I wanted it.
My whole reason for what I am doing is trying to keep the hot exhaust from blowing out the sides and melting brake handle.

Just using the oem deflector again 4910 501 490.
Just like 590 620 there is no reason for those pricey aftermarket cnc ones unless just being to lazy to do yourself.

This saw is easiest dang saw to start. 1 pull cold pops and 2 afterwords.
No clue why decomp as never used it on this. Maybe for folks with shoulder issues or once ported.

Echo is real good at mounting their exhaust deflectors pointed at something that can melt for some odd reason. I made that deflector adjustment on both my CS top handle Arborist saw and my Timber Wolf. The TW requires removing the muff, unscrewing the top baffle /deflector plate and the spark screen and then taking a die grinder and removing the spot welds so you can rotate the deflector to a better position where it's not blowing hot exhaust gasses on the plastic. Same with the CS other than it's not spot welded to the muff at all. Pizz poor design on the part of Echo on both saws. Of course on the Wolf, I did the Red Beard foam air cleaner (described my issues on the Arborist Forum, did the offset flywheel key, removed and modded the limiter caps, and the muff as well. I left the stock ignition coil and rev limited in place however but I may change that in the future, not sure. The saw will do a full bar cut (20" bar) ripping dried oak logs with a sharp loop of course, but then I always have sharp loops anyway and the rakers set to 0.025, no issue and modding the muff , it sounds like a MX bike now.

Glad to see you finally calling the Timberwolf buy it's proper name. :ROFLMAO: This is a very easy saw to modify and it really opens it up. You should adjust the squish on it a little, it really helps it out even more...
