Just another DIY tractor canopy

I was thinking more like the front opening ("windshield") could rack ...it's a parallelogram--a rectangle by design, but no cross bracing ...anyway, doesn't seem to be a problem, but if it should become one, I have a suggestion.

What do you have in mind?

You're correct. It is somewhat of a parallelogram -- actually more of a trapezoid. The base is a little wider than the top, which makes is a little more rack-resistent.

Here's another cheap idea if you can get a hold of one. Contact your local waste management company to see if they have any old or slightly damaged dumpster lids, or maybe they would even sell you one (like the attached photo). These are already UV protected, obviously waterproof, and fairly light so they are easy to attach to a a tractor's ROPS. front_load_large.jpg

Excellent idea. Also add golf cart companies and boneyards if any are nearby. Some of their canopies are narrower in width but make great tractor canopies.
