Hello All,
Been a lurker, but now I have a couple acres and an old Jubilee. I love old Fords. Spent a lot of time on an old 5000 planting duck clubs.
My Jubilee clutch release eyebolt was frozen and broken. I managed to use 2 jam nuts and get both pieces out. My problem is mounting the new one. The round piece that the eyebolt threads into is frozen to the yoke of the clutch release lever. I assume it is supposed to freely rotate, as I can see no other way to replace with new eyebolt.
I have attached a pic. I have a sacrifice bolt inserted, and it has been hit with Kroil for a few days. I am planning on taking a breaker bar to it until it breaks free or breaks off. I just want to make sure my assumptions are correct, and no one has any helpful tips before I get "medeval on it".
Thanks in advance for any help.
