On my TC40D the joystick doesn't seem to operate as smooth as it first did. After removing the rubber cover and looking at the control levers there doesn't appear to be any lubrication on them. Is this on purpose, say to keep it from gathering grit or can I spray some grease on it?

I've tried a small amount of grease and WD40. Both work fine and you'll appreciate the smoother action. I find this area of the tractor does not seem to attract much dirt or dust so I'd say go for it.

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try.
