John Deere planter 71 mounted on Allis G

Had a planet Jr but didn't like the job it made. Bought a planter 71.. Took out the flex with a couple spacers cause I didn't have enough lift on my G. Made it adjustable with acme thread for different row spacings. Can't wait to try it out this spring

Are you trying to rebuild, restore, use the planter as is...??

I would love, love to have an old planter to plant areas for wild life near our pond.. No matter how good or how bad it worked at the time..

I have used a disk to do small patches 1.5 meter wide, by up to about 10 meter long, depending on the grass and such there.. Broadcasting seed by hand, then covering with a chain harrow, or brace of old tires as a drag.. Works OK, but a planter would work better..
