John Deere Instrument Cluster

Hello Everyone,

I ordered a new instrument cluster for my John Deere 3000 series tractor, as the old one was busted. It has a digital hour meter with a display mode switch. The digital part of the on the new cluster blinks the word "Config". Does anyone know what steps need to be done to configure the new cluster or is this something that needs to be taken to the dealer?

?? Did you get it from a Deere dealer?

Yes. Purchased the part online from an authorized dealer. I installed it today, but it just blinks the word "config" on the digital section of the cluster. I wont even start. I was just curious if there a process you have to go through to configure a new instrument cluster.

I strongly suspect there is, and maybe your online authorized dealer would be the one to contact.

Yep. Turns out I have to take into local dealer, as they have to plug it in to configure it. Should take less than an hour of labor. Thanks for the input.
