John Deere G100 automatic

Hello,
I am looking at a for sale by owner G100 Automatic, originally purchased in about 2001(?), 390 hours, 62" (?) deck, rear wheel weights, snow blade and chains included, for $1399.00.
My questions are
1) is there such a thing as a 62" deck or is this misinformation?

2) research of the reviews of the G100 turns up a lot of comments about unreliability, specifically transmission problems. Any comments?

3) the mower is dirty, but said to be in good running condition...does $1399 sound reasonable including the attachments noted?

I have a G100 JD mower that I bought used 2 years ago with 280 hrs.It now has about 350 hrs.,no problems,nice machine.They have hydrastactic drive nice feature,mine has a 54 inch deck.This machine new sold for $4400.00
I paid $1800 with just the mower.

Thanks for the input. I think I just needed some reassurance that this wasn't too good to be true and that the reliability issue wasn't a universal problem with this model. Thanks again, Dogtors
