John Deere B Piston Ring Replacement

Has anyone done a ring job on these old 2 cylinders? How difficult is it? Do you have to take the majority of the tractor apart? I did the work on an M, but never on a horizontal engine.

To R&R rings one needs to remove cylinder head and cover over crankcase to access rod bolt nuts for removal so pistons can be pushed forward out of engine block
