Good afternoon everyone,
I have been searching this forum for answers on the Power Beyond kit I installed. I do not have a FEL on the tractor and plan on installing a dual valve in the rear of the tractor off of the PB. My problem is with the PB installed I do not seem to have control of my 3pt hitch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How do you have the system plumbed. What is the logical order of the flow? The 3pt valve should be the last valve in the path.

What kind of PB did you install in the FEL valve. Some PB adapters have a hex screw that screws in the PB port and blocks off the flow to the tank port. Other PB adapters, you screw the adapter in the PB port and it blocks off the flow to the tank port. If you did not install the PB adapter, the flow is just flowing to tank via the FEL valve tank port.

If the PB adapter is installed correctly, the flow will flow to the 3pt and than tank. If you want to install more valves, you interrupt the flow to the back and feed the new valves and then route the fluid to the 3pt.

Most tank port out flows go to tank, and can be teed in for convenience.

If it is like the 950's there is a pipe plug (that should of came with kit) that has to be put in. Check your manual. I can't explain just where it goes, just to long ago to remember.

Thanks for answering back with the fix.

If it vibrates out, you will lose everything past that point. The FEL will still work.

Hello I'm new here...just read article having same problem. So were exactly does this little 1/4" plug go???

If you have the hex screw for the PB, then is screws inside the PB port. Use some Loctite red or blue to secure it..

Looking at all the valves, some of the valves use a PB adapter sleeve and others use the hex screw.

What this does is to separate the galleries so the main fluid will pass through the valve to another valve, and the cyl used fluid will go to tank. .

As an example, look at page 5, and 9

Where's the pb port???? Is it on the front under a plug or how do I find out where

Sorry, I misunderstood exactly what is happening, and there are two people with same tractor.

Apparently you have nothing except the 3pt, and you want to add a rear valve, and use what JD calls a PB port, which probably comes directly from the pump to the side of the tractor..

I believe there are some ports on the side of your tractor that you have to add your kit to. If you followed the directions, it should work.

You have to provide a flow path for the fluid from the pump to the tank, and by adding the kit, and valve assembly, correctly, you will achieve that .

Your JD manual should indicate the correct ports for the kit.

I am thinking you will have a hose from the side of the tractor to the new valve, and a hose from the valve to the side of the tractor.

Does the new valve use two or three hoses to connect it to the tractor?

The plug I'm talking about goes into the rock shaft housing after you change the new hard line that came with the kit. If I remember right there was 2 plugs on the back side of the rock shsft (3pt valve) and only one would take the plug. It was in my manual, but was hard to understand the manual.

were did you find the power beyond kit for your 970?? and could you give me the part number if you have it..

/ John Deere 970 Power Beyond Kit Problems #16
I got it at jd dealer I think part number is BM18010

/ John Deere 970 Power Beyond Kit Problems #17
How the heck did you pull that off?? my deere dealer tells me that kit number is no longer available.. even purchasing the parts seperate there telling me one of the needed lines is no longer available??
I just wasted $100 bucks to find that the rubber hydraulic hoses are too big to fit between the fuel tank and not interfere with the movement of the rear hydraulics. just not enough room to make it work

do you want to sell that 3rd line you got in the kit... the one that would go to an scv valve if you had FEL.. thats the hard line that deere says is no longer made.

/ John Deere 970 Power Beyond Kit Problems #19
Let me find it. But yeah I have no problem selling it it you

let me know what you want and shipping. just to be clear it is part number AM877598 not sure if what you have will have a part number.. But if the line is outta bm18010 and you have no scv then this would be the only extra line you'd have
