John Deere 950

Hey, all new to the forum. I have an old JD 950 with a dual clutch for some reason the high gears don’t seem to be grabbing. just swapped out the oil in the transmission and the gears seem like they’re just not catching. The rain selector seems to work low shift until fifth year. Doesn’t seem to wanna move unless you’re kind of on a downgrade then it starts to roll as soon as the gray changes it wants to go back into a lower gear.

Could it need a clutch adjustment or is the clutch toast.
Anyone encounter this issue

It's not the oil. You're on track thinking clutch. Classic case of a slipping clutch. Does the pedal have any free play? I'm guessing not, but just guessing. Try adjusting that first and see what that gains you. Quite often there is still some life left in the clutch when this happens but not always. Item 24 is the adjustment.
