john deere 5055d
I posted this in other threads ,thought I would repost here, I'm having issues with my 5055d 4 year old with 300 hours tractor.
first is gauge issues fuel and coolant, coolant will only reach left side of green and fuel at idle shows normal but when you increase rpm it drops to empty. ive cleaned where ground cable attaches. To me its still acting like a grounding issue , any ideas?
also front end loader tilt is out of sync, have added hydraulic oil with no change , any ideas.
also would like to thank this forum for it helped me fix a cranking problem I had with same tractor.

What do you mean when you state "front end loader tilt is out of sync"? On gauges not operating properly have you checked/cleaned/tightened instrument cluster grounds?

On the tilt with no attachment right side fully tilts then left, on gauges where are cluster grounds located?

On my 4400 with 430 loader which has the JD quick attach, it is the attachment (bucket, forks, etc) that mechanically connects the left and right bucket cylinders. Once the attachment is off, they are free to move independently. Is that what you are referring to?

I'm thinking, and responded to other thread the OP opened, that the bolt is sheared off on the rod that connects the two sides..
Shown circled in red (for a 553 FEL but similar to my 430 FEL), and this bolt will hold the two synched.

Interesting, maybe mine is sheared too. Hasn't bugged me enough to investigate!

Well when tractor was new they moved the same or just a little out of snyc ,now its way off, makes it hard to switch from bucket to hay fork

Really more worried bout the gauge issue

I recall the same dilemma when the two sides were in synch in the beginning and then they moved independent of each other. Thought it was just a change in the looseness of the fit over time. Bugged me that they didn't move together but didn't figure it out at first.
Took awhile to notice that the pin was missing, so I replaced with a 1/4" bolt and lock nut. Now over the years, I probably shear that pin somehow about once a year. Think it may be when I drop the bucket and there is some resistance one side or the other.
But better that the pin shears, than something else gets bent.

Has nothing to do with fluid level tho. From reading other OP thread, may have over-filled your hyd fluid. Seems I read where 7 gallons were added? That would maybe be the total cap. in the system??

Cannot help with gauge dilemma.

This tractor has sight glasses by the pto and they look empty, i have since heard u need a die in the oil to see it better in the sight glass im sure i got to much in it , have heard not to worry bout overfill and heard i need to drain some, other than what im talking bout hydraulics are working fine, going to check that pin tomorrow

If you overfilled the transmission/transaxle you will have fluid overflowing from the dipstick the next time you work the tractor and the hyd fluid expands with temperature. You'll want to drain some of excess hyd fluid.

The gauge issue means accessing the bottom of the gauges where the electrical wiring connects. Likely have to pull the cluster and follow the leads to either the fuse box or a ground strip.

The JD Technical Repair Manual for your tractor is a "mandatory" reference component to your shop - IMO.

The JD website offers a number of manuals, etc. for download (free) for many of JD tractors, loaders, etc.

As others stated if timing rod on quick attach is not pinned(secured) then bucket cylinder with the least resistance will move 1st then cylinder with most resistance will move.

i checked the aligning rod on the loader and the left pin is missing so that issue is fixed, thanks all who responded. still having gauge issue , have cleaned battery ground to frame and looking for any other ground points to check, since both gauges are acting weird this seems the most logical approach, any ideas?
