Oil & Fuel John Deere 5045D Tachometer

My tachometer wouldn稚 work until the tractor had sufficiently warmed up. I recently performed the transmission/hydraulic oil interval and now the tachometer works perfectly every time. There was some water in the oil. Coincidence? Does the tachometer have anything to do with hydraulic fluid?

I don't know how that tach works. Could be a bad ground. I have had the flywheel tooth sensor go intermittant on my JD and then quit entirely. Unless the outfit just repaired a ground and charged me for the sensor, but I doubt that.

5045D speed-hour meter has a speed sensor(RE519144) in engine timing gear cover. I seriously doubt changing hyd oil has any affect on speed-hour meter operation.
