John Deere 4720 Rock Bar Lever

Was using the 3pt when the rock bar lever got real loose. I used to be able to set it at any mid position and it would hold that position. Now it is real loose at any midpoint, it's either all the way up or all the way down. Any idea what I may have broken? Any idea how I can fix it? Thanks in advance!

There is a friction washer and nut that needs to be tightened. Take a look on JD parts, and you will see the exploded diagram.
