Need some help , I have a JD 4720 W/cab, trying to set up for grapple, I bought all the plumbing from dealer while reading instructions before install it shows getting pressure side hydraulic from where the loader is plumbed to, dealer has been helpful but have not come up with a fix. Bought this unit used with a 400cx loader attached. It also has 2nd out the rear with lever to spool valve , found power beyond would be plumbed in same location if i wanted to install that also. There should be a kit to Tee the pressure I would think, Any help would greatly Appreciated Vin# H770835, Rear outlet kit#LVB26033

What exactly did you buy from the dealer?
It sounds like you have a loader with joystick, plus one rear SCV. I would connect the grapple to the rear SCV and use the lever for it to control the grapple.

I got all the plumbing for the loader in a kit and a electric servo kit with toggle switch for the joy stick.

You can't tee pressure lines. If you do only the side with the least resistance will move.

The 3rd function should go in line between the loader's power beyond and the rear SCVs- connect the PB to the 3rd function in port and its out port to the line to the SCV's in port that was connected to the PB. But check that the 3rd function valve's out port is rated for full system pressure. If it's on a subplate it probably is.

What you bought is the 3rd SCV kit. It should have instructions in the kit, if not then the dealer should be able to give them to you. What that does is just add another set of hydraulic ports to the rear of the tractor. If you are putting the grapple on the loader, then you need the front loader hydraulic line kit that connects to the rears SCV kit you added and runs up to the front of the loader arms.

Thanks for the replies, I have the complete plumbing for the loader, and an electric servo kit- joy stick mounted thumb control, but it is shown in the instructions to get the pressure side from where the loader control is plumbed to now, I also got a copy of instructions for the PB ( power beyond) kit and it also shows to be plumbed to where the loader control is plumbed to now for the pressure side. But yet the the low side plumbing for the EH is correct , it plumbs into the loader control. I need a way to get pressure to the EH and evidently there might not be a way to do it with the factory EH with the older tractors. I read the post supplied by mike48130 it sounds like almost the identical problem I have. Thank you

It's confusing for sure.
They ship the kits with the lines assuming you don't have any other hydraulic options. Then they sell lines and kits to interconnect all the options separate.
I ran into this doing my 4120, I added the 3rd, 4th, 5th and the hardline kit myself. Parts counter guy wasn't any help, I had to really scour JD parts site online to figure it out.
