Just bought a used 4210 that will not disengage the MFWD. Previous owner complained it wore out front tires fast so think this has been going on a long time. Any one have ideas. I have not gotten any manuals yet.
On that series of tractor, when the MFWD looses power it solenoid default to engaged. Start with checking the fuses. Then look under right floor board for any wires pulled out of the connectors. That is where I would start.

Thanks for the excellent information. I finally got enough time off work and found the wires had been pulled apart with a stick and mud still stuck up under that area and had ruined the connector. Rewired it and not will disengage. With back hoe on it did not know PTO was also affected.
