My backhoe has a small cylinder that pivots the bucket only sideways. My manual makes no reference to this feature. I need to rebuild the cylinder and don't know what its called. I have not been able to find any reference to this anywhere.

Around me that is known as a shaping bucket or grading bucket.

Always heard it called a wrist personally. I doubt it was factory on a C model but I could be wrong.

Thanks guys. At least someone knows about them. I am sure your correct, it isn't factory. I cannot find anything saying it is.
I'll get it off and take it to a hydraulic shop.
