John Deere 240 trouble

I have a 240 with a 14 Kawasaki in it. It's been running fine until a couple days ago the battery seemed dead, so I tried jumping it with the battery charger and that wouldn't work. I then put a battery pack type quick starter on it, and it fired right up. I put the battery charger on trickle charge all night, and the battery is reading fully charged, but will not start. I put the battery pack quick starter on it, and it starts right up. Any ideas? Thanks, Denny

Take your battery to Pep Boys or some other place that will test your battery for free. Assuming it is shot, get a new battery.
