John Deere 2305 Replacement Motor

I am looking for a replacement engine for my 2305 John Deere. Head is cracked in 2 places and cylinders are scored.
Found a Yanmar 3TNV76-CSA Industrial engine as a replacement. Would this engine be the same as the OEM engine that cam with the tractor?

Great! Hope the new engine works well for you. Do you know why the original got a cracked head? Overheating??

Found out the engine was cooked after I purchased the tractor. I think the water pump failed. It appears the temp sensor was damaged when the cab heater hose fitting was installed so no indication of overheating. I know, there should have been other indicators of overheating. Purchased it site unseen (just photographs). Out of state purchase from a dealer who said the tractor had been through their shop and was good to go. My bad for not having a local mechanic check it out.
