John deere 1997 5500 with Cab

1997 JD 5500 with CAB, PTO quit working when engaged. My shop manual shows how to adjust but does not show where the adjustment is located or what has to be removed to make the adjustment. Sure could use some help. Hope clutch aint gone, never been adjusted and 1800 hrs

Just looking at JD Parts, I ASSUME you adjust the shaft highlighted in yellow. The parts in the box, circled in red, might have an adjustment too, but JD now replaces those parts with a none adjustable link.
I would think the Tech Manual, or Owner's Manual, would give better ionstructions for this adjustment.

I have both manuals and they only show the actual adjustment and not how to get to it, unless I have missed something, but do not think so. May be the seat and seat platform have to be removed? I hope not.
