Check the wires where the throttle moves up and down and check if they are getting moved around enough to cause an issue.

Did you ever find a solution to your problem? We are having the same issue. Key switch and PTO have been replaced. Battery and solenoid are good. We are currently stuck on the purple and purple/white wires. The guy at the John Deere store suggested the brake switch/neutral switch but the replacement switch and where we understand it would go (connector between purple and purple white)according to the previously posted wiring schematics are nothing alike.
