Good day all,
I'm experiencing intermittent shut down on my New Holland TN75. The tractor briefly cuts out and restarts itself, or occasionally shuts down completely. (When it is a brief shut down, I have noticed the battery symbol on the dashboard momentarily on) I suspect the ignition switch? I have tapped and wiggled it while running, but I cannot manually replicate the failure. I'm looking to diagnose whether this is a failing ignition switch or a fault elsewhere in the electrical system. It so far has restarted if it shuts down. Thanks

Hello,
I had a similar problem for about 2 yrs with my 2017 WM60. Mine would 'shut down' and I was able to key off, and then it would restart.

Sometimes, it would run for days with no problem, and other times it would happen 1/2 hour after startup.

Finally, one day last summer, it stopped with a code and would not restart or even turn over. Mine turned out to be relays. Possibly they were intermittent? and then eventually, completely failed?

Like you, I originally believed it was the 'ignition switch' (it wasn't) or possibly one of the safety switches (wasn't that either). I did a lot of trouble shooting of circuits.

...but in any case, here is the link to my issue.

Hope this helps you,
scott

Scott thanks for the help.
I think I have diagnosed it to the ignition switch. While running, I monitored the voltage on the fuel shut off solenoid fuse (F1) and I wiggled the switch and the voltage flickered to 0. It is still intermittent but I am pretty confident I found it. It seems to be more frequent after it has been running for a while so it must be a heat related issue in the switch.
I have been getting some quotes and these are pricey here in Canada. Does anyone know of an aftermarket equivelent switch? NH Pt# is 5179952.
