Kubota B7500
I have a Kubota B7500 with a front mounted snow blower. When I went to engage the front PTO, there was some grinding of the gears. The POT shift lever went forward but the PTO did not engage. The rear PTO is engaged at 540 rpm and will not disengage. The lever moves to both the forward and back positions without depressing the clutch.

Do you use the clutch when shifting the PTO????

Yes but I sometimes disengage without the clutch.

Yes but I sometimes disengage without the clutch.

Check the linkage for problems. One should use the clutch when shifting plain gears to avoid the grinding.
