Just got a jd870 with turf tires. I want to replace them with the R4 style tires. Anybody know if I can put r4 style tires on the turf style rims? If so what size tire would I be looking for. I would give the size of the tires but the tractor is not here yet. So hoping someone here might know. Thanks

Last year I was looking at an 855 with turfs and called my local to see if you could put ag's on it, the answer was that the ag's took a different set of rim cause he looked it up in the book. Now, bar tires I can't say. They might fit right on there. I would call your local JD dealer.
Btw, here is what tractordata had to say about the ag tire sizes for the 870. If you can find out what size the turf tires are, that might give you some clue. Sorry can't be of more help.
