3-Point Hitch JD650 3pt hitch no control over arms. Help!

I reassembled the loader piping from instructions I was sent on another thread. They were all correct. The difference in the control valve design has been explained. It turns out there was a part change, ST571526 to ST571527 towards the end of the models life. I have the xxxxx27 and my tech manual, and many other sources, show the xxxxx26. No idea why, but mine looks a bit simpler (in terms of tiny little retaining parts and what not). it appears as though everything is there except for the gasket was pretty much gone (ordered - item 18) and there is a pilot valve return spring that looks a little bent (item 9). That little spring doesn't have a corresponding part number on the manual That I can find though. Does anyone know how I go about finding one? I doubt its the culprit but it can't hurt to get it right.

I stretched the spring a bit and tried to twist it a bit straighter (dunno if it actually worked or not) and made a quick and dirty gasket with some old head gasket material then re-assembled it all. It seems to be working much smoother now surprisingly. ill swap out the gaskets when the OEM comes and still hope to find the spring. I guess the real test will be when I start using it in combination with the front loader again.

I also effectively rust-proofed and lubricated the entire back half of the tractor (and myself) by not fully tightening one of the pressurized hoses... so I've got that going for me.
