JD322 Identification

I just purchased a used JD322. The unit serial is unreadable or missing. I do have the engine numbers and was wondering if there was any source to trace the engine back to the 322 serial number to find out what year it might be. I have this question into my dealer and he wasn't sure.

The Gas yanmar has these numbers:

Model# 3T066uJ
Serial# CM30220006552

You might want to try posting over at the JD Garden Tractor group on Yahoo. I used to visit there on occasion when I had my JD285. I seem to recall a database of models and serial numbers. Sorry, I don’t have the link.
