JD x 485 mower deck coupling

If some one has a idea, can not get the coupling off the shaft. It moves some but not enough to release it. Hope some one has a idea as my blood pressure is rising!

Stuck shafts, obtain a can of PB Blaster and spray and wait. Spray and wait. Also do not beat - bang - destroy. Which end are you having a problem with, deck or PTO. Some shafts have a slip collar that has to be pulled back to allow removal of the shaft. Some have a pin that you have to depress and hold down to slide the shaft off. Will the slip collar or pin move or depress to allow for shaft removal? If on the PTO end, removal of the deck will allow you more room to obtain leverage to pull on the shaft.

Clarify that you are able to slide the collar forward on the PTO coupling. Then be sure the deck is far enough forward to allow the telescoping square drive shaft to slide while moving the coupling forward.
Is this the 54" deck? Is this the first time removing the shaft?
