JD Power Steering

Anyone out there know where I could get a POWER STEERING kit for a 1989 John Deere 850.

All JD dealers I spoke with said they are no longer available from JD.

Any help will be appreciated.

If you can't find new, you might search the internet for <font color=blue>tractor salvage</font color=blue> or <font color=blue>tractor salvage deere</font color=blue>. You will get a lot of hits for tractor salvage sites. Some have e-mail addresses, some only have phone numbers.

there is a company in iowa, i think, that sells a power steering kit, JD100; that fits a lot of the JD tractors, i have tried to buy the kit from them, but they only sell thru their dealers, which appears to be about any independent tractor repair/sales around, the company is AI ????? can't remember the rest, but i will look it up later and get back to you..the a is for agriculture and the i is for industrial...the kit was over 600 from a dealer, which i thought was to high..

hope this helps some..also in a post i read a month or so ago, someone put the webpage of a company located in canada, that sells power steering kits..heres the address etc.
