JD Loader for 4320

Hello,

I have a 2005 JD 4320 and I am trying to decide on whether to get the 400x loader or the 400cx loader. I am going to put the skid steer attachment on it so that I can use my Bobcat attachments.


Is the cx worth the price difference?

Yes, all CX loaders are stronger than the X. i would get the CX. thats what i did.
and if i am not mistaken . All CX loaders are quick tach and come off.
I think the X loader is designed to stay on all the time. at least that is my understanding.....

Get the 400CX, besides having more lift capacity and lift height, it's also self leveling.
So it a word, to answer your question, YES

I don't think that is true...I think the X loader detaches from the tractor the same way. Heck, they share the same manual.

I think I would have been disappointed if I had less lift capacity.

The self-leveling feature is really slick too.

You won't be disappointed with the 400cx! I wish they had the skid steer plate as on option when I got mine! I do have the JD forks and 4-in-1 for mine, and I love it!

I am happy with my 400X, although I did get the heavy duty bucket. The CX must have larger cylinders than the X to have a higher lift weight capacity. Larger cylinders do not lift as fast as smaller ones fed by the same pump, so score one for the X. I can see that the self leveling feature would be nice for novices but not so necessary as you gain experience. The joystick control on the X works well and I don't have much trouble keeping a load level. With a material bucket, it is nice that the bucket tilts back when lifted as it minimizes spillage.

Actually, the 400CX loader uses different leverage points compared to the 400X loader to give it the extra lift capacity.

I already ordered the 400x but I am going to call tomorrow and try to change to the CX -- given that's it's more money I hope they will honor the request...


Now the next question: should I get the imatch for the 3pt hitch?
