JD 855 will not shift out of 4WD

The title says it all.

Tried shifting while in neutral as well as when tractor moving slowly in forward or reverse.

Raise the front end using the FEL, and then try.

if this doesn't get it out of the bind it's in, back up 15-20 feet and try it again. Sometimes as the front tires get worn, they end up not traveling the same speed
as the back, when on soft ground it will usually work itself out but on hard ground or asphalt, or spinning tires, sometimes it just needs to "unwind"
