Can a JD 850 run a 6 ft. bush hog? Thanks

Yes, but may just have to go slower in tall, thick stuff. Also may have to have some additional counter weight on the front end if lifting with 3 ph.

I wouldn't.
I owned an 850, and if I remember right it was only 25/26 HP (22 PTO HP)
Mine would struggle in thick, deep grass with a 5' cutter. It handled a 6' belly mower fine.

If it doesn’t have a loader you’ll probably want some suitcase weights on the front with either a 5’ or 6’ although the light front end does make it steer easy if it doesn’t have power steering.
