JD 790 Rear Hydraulics

Over in the Tip and Tilt Discussion (Kubota Area) there has been a question of the part number for the rear hydraulic kit for JD 790, its "BM18005" It runs about $160 not incuding installation. I had trouble getting one because of John Deere's inventory policy, if to few in stock, they won't release except for a down machine. Just have your dealer be persistant, I had to wait about a month until they made some more.

Took about 2 hours to install, mostly removing the seat and sheet metal. Instruction are very good. Must crank up the engine to clear the air from the lines after installation to get the 3 point to work. Any use of the outlets require that you maintain a complete circuit for the hydrualic circuit.

Thanks for the info, hopefully I'll need it sometime in the future! I've also made a mental note that you have the shop manual etc. If I ever get in a jam you may be hearing from me. BTW, how much were the manuals?

Thanks very much Halsey. Christmas is not the time of year to ask for more money for the toy, er, tractor, but I hope to be doing this install in the Spring.
Now, to be a real pain, I don't suppose you've gotten any pictures have you? /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif. Go back to the TNT discussion and you'll see that LarryT has uploaded some really good photos (well, ok, so the backround is orange /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif ).

Don't have digital camera or scanner - spent all my spare funds on toys for JD 790 or my Ertl Precision Tractor Collection. Just adjust the colors on your monitor from orange to green.
