JD 790 no start

Mowed w/finish mower, parked and 3 days later would not start, removed mower and rear pto splines will not turn freely, moved rear pto lever up & down but no help...any help would be greatly appreciated !!

Won't crank over? Or cranks over okay, but won't fire off?
PTO's usually like to have the engine running, when disengaging, otherwise they stick.

No, it won't crank at all, can't turn rear pto at all, like it is stuck in gear but engage lever is all the way up.

Start checking your safety switch. I would start with the seat switch. Had to replace mine several years ago.

Do the headlights and such things work.
If yes check the electrical contacts on the PTO Lever.
If no then start with checking the battery connections and fuses.
