JD 5425 3 PT

Have a new to me 5425. Its a 2005 model and has spent its entire life pulling around a 15 foot batwing finish mower at a horse farm. The 3 PT is in full up position and I have been unable to get it to go down so far. Have adjusted the drop valve, and have the lift handle full down. Jumping up and down on the arms does nothing.

Thinking about using my backhoe bucket to add some weight to lower it but don't want to break anything. Any ideas of how to get it freed up?

Float control.

Dang I was all ready to hear what happened when you got on it with the back hoe!

Didn't want to go that route, but it was an option. Read some threads of having a large pipe on it and then start adding weight. Either way all good so far
