Have not done any investigation yet just wondering if anyone has had this problem. Would have looked at it but my generator crapped out. Bad night.

Anyway. Have flashers and rear work lights. Just no dash lights and headlights. Will investigate in the morning.

Thanks

Haven't had that problem ...yet. But I'd start with the usual suspects. Fuses and making sure everything's plugged in.

Did you drive it through a creek or anything?

If the fuses are good, next place I'd look is the light switch itself...get's pretty dirty under there. Remove and reconnect all the bayonet connections and see if that works.

Should be a pretty simple solve. Start at the fuse if fuse is not blown than pull out the test light or the multimeter. Next make sure you power coming into the switch than out of the switch. Fortunately the lighting circuit is pretty basic so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Finally got time to look at it tonight. Well, I turned the switch and they worked. So fuse is obviously good but I checked to see if it was loose or corroded. All good.

Could not re create it by wiggling switch either. Now I am sure it will not happen again until it's dark and snowing. Strange

Anyway I think I will pull dash cover and switch to clean it. Then I will finally adjust the parking brake switch that plagues these models.

Thanks for the responses.

Glad it's working...not so glad that you don't know what caused it. I hate those kind of problems. I either try to ignore them or go nuts and start taking random things apart.

How do you adjust the parking brake switch? My light will stick on sometimes if I've set the parking brake. It will go off as soon as I release it but will pop back on occasionally after a few minutes of driving. I'll stop and pump the brake pedal a few times and that will usually clear it but it may come back on a couple more times.

Give the fuse for that circuit a "wiggle" and see if it happens again,
they get oxidized sometimes.
