Does the JD 4105 CUT have an aluminum rear end? My 3320 does and I am thinking about trying to get away from aluminum.

I wouldnt let that scare you. Engines are made out of aluminum today, think about all the componants in an airplane. I see a lot of aluminum transmission and axle housings these days on multiple applicaitions.

The 4105 does have an aluminum rear end. You have to move up to a 4x20 to get all steel, and planetary final drives. I also prefer steel, but I don't hear of any failures of the aluminum either.

I have stayed with the "tried and true" 655-755-855-955 CUT because of the lack of issues with castings, hydraulics, engines, electricals?etc? As you can see from my avatar? have owned ALOT of them?pleased with everyone, only reason to sell is for more HP as I have begun to do small farming?.LOVE them?o/little electronic sensors and one of my buddies has a small fleet of repaired JD's he has fixed (broke castings, and dealer can't braze them)?he is personal friends with JD shop owner and gets all the MAJOR broke/burned ones?One of his is a 4120 or 4110:thumb down:
