Guys I have a 4100 that the loader is not lowering.
Background:Over summer I blew the metal/hose line on the rod side of one of the lift lower cylinders so I took the loader off and left it sit. Recently I replaced the line with a hose only line. Now I can not get the cylinder to lower after raising it. I thought one of the Quick couplers but it will raise. All the other functions work. I think I got the 4 hoses hooked right because it does work except lowering. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Double check the hoses are plugged in correctly and that they are fully engaged in the couplers, you can have one plugged in the wrong coupler and it still raises.

i think they are correct.
I have the bucket hoses in 1 and 2
and the lift cylinders in 3 and 4

Also as stated by Varmint1, make sure they are coupled fully. Easiest to just uncouple and recouple each one then try all functions. If a coupler is not fully coupled it will stop or restrict flow.

Ok I checked the couplers and as far as I can tell they are ok (uncoupled and recoupled)
Here is how I have the hoses couupled in. Can someone confirm this is right
#1 (top left coupler on tractor)rod side of bucket cylinder
#2 (top right coupler) opposite rod side of bucket cylinder
#3 (bottom left coupler on tractor) rod side of lift/lower cylinder
#4 (bottom right coupler on tractor) opposite rod side on lift/lower cylinder

does it make a difference when I had the new line made up it was all hose where as the old one was metal line part way and then hose the rest??? I don't see it would matter

and also I did try switching #3 and #4 and the loader lifted and lower but with the reverse direction aon the lever and also it would gradually limiting the lift height until it was not lifting at all

All hose will not make a difference vs hose and metal line.

Your line swapping revsered the problem from not lowering to not lifting. Still sounds like a bad coupler.

Try swapping lines 1 & 2 with 3 & 4 and see if the problems stays with the boom or moves to the bucket.
