Iam having problems with starting,I have to hold down brake and turn key to start and it is starting to get to the point that I have to jam brake pedeals 4 or 5 times before it gets juice to starter when it does it starts right now..I talked to a friend and he says on his all he does is make sure hydro is in netrual turn key to start and his starts.Would sure hope some out there can tell where and how to fix this..Thanks

I didn't think 318s had brake switches for starting. You may have another problem. The neutral start switch is in the dash you can see it if you look down through the hydro handle cut out in the dash, you should be able to see the switch.

thanks will check...the only way I get it to crank is to push brake pedals down together, sometimes have to jam and hold pedals before cranking will engage..

OK then if you follow the brake pedals under the tractor they hook to a round shaft that goes through the tractor frame to the other side. I would imagine they would of put the switch between the frame rails. If it has 2 wires just in plug it and try to start if that doesn't work make a short jumper wire to connect the wires in the plug. Or you can just zip tie the switch back
