JD 310E dipper cylinder quit working

Used it to get out of the mud, and the dipper operation ceased to work, almost no sound when moving the control stick, no leaks, control linkage looks good. What going on

Is there a way to see if the cylinder is getting pressure without a gauge? I think it might be a failure of something in the cylinder from other internet searches. Thanks
