JD 2240

Hey everyone, old man just picked up about 1981 2240. I was looking for a rops with a canopy for him. I was just wondering if there was a place where I could draw a bead on a used one, or one off a junkyard salvage tractor. Thanks much!!!!

Abilene Machinery & Wengers would be where I'd start checking. Performing a part # search on JD parts reveals 15 tractor models that AR51143 roll-gard will fit on units with 28'' & smaller dia. rear tires & 22 models that AL70191 roll-gard for units with 30'' & larger dia rear tires

Another thing to check is some states have programs that help pay for installation of ROPS on tractors.
At one time JD sold the ROPS at cost, I am not sure if JD still has that program.
I found one for my JD 2030 on Craigslist. The seller's tractor would fit under the loft in his barn so he removed it.

Thanks guys! Never thought there would of been a difference by tire size. Great info to know before you write the check. And I will definitely look into the program as it never hurts to save a couple clams when you can. Again, thanks.
