We're up and running!!! Thanks to all who helped out. There's a lot of good solid advice in these forums. I thank you, my wife thanks you, my son thanks, our dogs thank you, and my JD 2010 thanks you. Now, to get back out there and tractorize the world!!!!

I have a JD 2010, and am experiencing the same issue....hydraulic fluid coming up the steering shaft. What was the solution to your problem? Just replace a seal?

Might try a PM to StevenPaul, but his activity shows last to be 2009.
There may be others who can chime in and help you too.

I think you need to replace seal(parts key #9)
