On Saturday I purchased a 110 (my favorite lawn tractor). The guy I bought it from was the second owner. He didn't know much about it. Owned it three years, kept it in storage, never even ran it. He thought it was a 1964. After buying it I did some research online. It has the factory hydro lift, which supposedly was not a factory option until 1968. I found a website to run the serial #, came back saying mine is a 1966. So assuming all my info is correct, I'm wondering why mine has the hydro on it (possible experimental unit?). Any ideas/ feedback? Thanks in advance

Not sure about that but it sure sounds interesting. We like pics!! I have a 69 and it doesn't have it. Mine is gonna be for sale in the spring.

So your 110 is the round fender?
And the 8 hp Kohler?

I have a round fender and all in parts. Going to see if I can get them sandblasted and painted soon.

Yes, it's got the Kohler 8 hp and steel round fenders. Will post pics soon. Just came in from working on it. It had no fuel in the tank, but still had some in the filter bowl. Removed bowl and found it blocked. Disassembled, cleaned and put back together. Gonna run some clean fuel thru the unhooked tank, then reinstall the bowl assembly, put fresh fuel in it, prime the carb, then see if it starts. Hoping to avoid a carb rebuild, at least for now.

I think the '64 had a 7hp engine. I have a '65 and it has an 8 hp Kohler. The very earliest ones had fiberglass fenders. I've seen quite a few that had the later hyd system added to them. It's not a hard job to do. The one in the pic fore ground is the '65

Nice herd qstott! I was wondering if I am right about the year on mine. Dad said it was a 69. Have no paperwork.

I've just browsed the site. Didn't realize I could do that. Thanks!

Did some more research online, other sites say the hydro option came out in '66. Guess that answers that ?! Was able to get it running today. Drove it around the yard a little. Still needs serviced and a new battery but at least it runs.
